"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are hidden in the most unlikely of places! Those who do not believe in magic will never find it!" - Roald Dahl
Ah! There is a special kind of magic that hides in the everyday moments that we often overlook. Roald Dahl’s words from the incredible book '365 Days of Wonder' invite us to watch the world with “glittering eyes” because these are the eyes of children, of innocence. This quote resonates deeply for me in my heart, reminding me that magic is not just a 'fantasy' but a real part of our lives, simply waiting to be discovered once again through wonder and human connection.
The Meaning Behind 'Desire' and 'Wonder'
The word desire comes from the Latin des-ire, which actually means “to lack.” It points to a feeling of longing, a certain call from within us pushing us towards something we don’t yet have but deeply want. We often resist this feeling, since it is almost always uncomfortable and foreign! We have wrongly been taught that being uncomfortable means something is wrong, when in all actuality it is one of the biggest signs that you are pushing outside of your comfort zone & growing! This inner pull is an inner guide, a spiritual or simply just a personal compass that nudges us toward personal growth, seeking joy, and deep & real fulfillment. Whether you see this as a spiritual truth or a psychological reality, it just simply means your inner self is always guiding you, and never more so than when you're wondering!
Wonder is the spark that lights up this path. When you DARE to wonder, you can open yourself to new possibilities and truly unexpected encounters. It’s a daily adventure that invites you to explore your own feelings & use them as your teachers! Every trigger is a teacher, every emotion can give you a gift of knowledge (if you let it!)

How Wonder Guides Us to the Right People
Wonder is not just about seeing the world differently; it’s about feeling connected once again to it and to the people in it. When you embrace wonder and curiosity, you become more open to serendipity which are allllllll the happy accidents that bring just the right people into your life at the right time! I truly believe this & have experienced it more times than I can count!!!
For example, you might find yourself thinking of an old friend you haven’t spoken to in years. That moment of wonder can be a sign to reach out! Trusting this feeling can lead to renewed friendships, unexpected support, or new opportunities! The magic happens when you act on these impulses, trusting that the universe is guiding you, that truly nothing is ever a coincidence! You simply need to learn to trust your gut!!

Try something new!!
